I can't trade with you Christy, but I have been thinking of ordering some
myself, and the catalogue I have in front of me says:
Robust hardy growers, taller at 90cm (3ft) than the dutch iris, with larger
flowers of approx 10cm (4") across.
Each fall petal is pencilled with lines. They flower after the dutch iris,
but grow in exactly the same way and conditions. Sun to 1/2 shade. Can be
left to multiply for years to form glorious clumps.
Now I always thought they needed more water than the Dutch (which do
reasonably well here, and come up each year.)
I'm keen to try them this year.
The varieties offered here are:
Summer Sky - gentle sky blue
Purity - unblemished white
Diamond Lil - deep blue
Anyone know if there are other named varieties or colours?
What about Paul Tyerman, the bulb man in Canberra?
Cheers, Jan Clark
