Well we are going back quite a few years and I have trouble
recalling what day of the week it is. I got plants from
several places but as I recall it was Aitkens which shipped
so that I got them in early Nov. Now they would have been
delayed by the Can. Agric. inspection and in those days the
delays were not short so my guess is that they were probably
shipped about the third week of Oct. the delay may have been
a contributing factor in their death but they did look fine
and in any event not much will live here if planted in Nov.
We were probably frozen in for the winter a week or two
after planting.
Hope this helps
