John - where were you able to find PCIs that were delivered in Nov? I'd
really like to try Joe Ghio's landscaping seedlings if I could set them
out in November. I was thinking about this yesterday and wondering if I
might be able to talk a lister in a less hostile climate into nursing
some plants ordered during the 'normal' shipping season until November,
then sending them to me, but if you know of a supplier who regularly
ships that late, that might be simpler. In my climate, late fall/early
winter is better, usually. Tho this year it was really dry up till
December, too late to avoid frost heave problems on small plants.
Unfortunately, selected intros wouldn't be selected for my climate, so
that isn't as appealing as unselected ones such as Ghio offers (or
offered?).
