TB:Perfect branching ??

Hi All,

Because I'm relatively new to the world of irises , I never really paid
much attention to branching..  This June should yield about fifty new
stalks and I'd wonder if somebody could describe what exactly good
branching is , or is this something subjective.

I remember Betty saying who much she loved BLACK OUT but she wished that
it had branching.  I just want a better idea about what good branching
is so that I can more completely evaluate everything that blooms this
spring.
