CULT: TB: HYB: cultivar survival question

Anybody grow many of Plotner's introductions in the middle part of the
continent (land of the eternal roller coaster boom and bust
winter/spring weather), especially the usually soggy southeast? I
notice several of the ones from the 80s seem to derive heavily from Chet
Tompkins' intros, which generally are above average in survival and
normal bloom in my growing conditions.

There are several 'umbrata/recessive amoena's by Plotner from the 80s
that are listed in a catalog that came yesterday (sorry, I've already
forgotten the name...)

Thanks in advance for any comments.

definitely signs of life in the iris patch after this week of warm
weather - hopefully not enough to cause too much damage in the
inevitable cold to come.
