Hi Jim - I'd be glad to donate as much pallida as you want (within
reason), but I only have one kind & don't know what strain it might be,
other than generic east Tennessee everybody grows it iris.
Places I've gotten species in the past:
Steve Varner (can't think of the name of his nursery right now) - 2
clones of variegata and several of aphylla. He lists several clones of
several species, plus species crosses.
Don & Ginny Spoon (Winterberry Gardens) - they had several species
listed last year.
Let me know if you find a bunch of different pallida strains - someone
from the list offered some to me last year, unfortunately, I didn't
follow up, or they didn't send them & now I've forgotten who it was.
drat.
I have some of a yellow I. reichenbachii from SIGNA seed grown by Ian
Efford (I think?). I'd also be interested in finding more strains of
this species - let me know if you find a source. Sure grows like a weed
here.
Wildwood Gardens sez on p 24 that they have many species and species
crosses - list on request soon. But it looks like this may only be
beardless species.
Hope this helps..
Linda Mann east Tennessee USA zone 7/8
