Dear Group, I have read all of the posts about toxic Iris and was amazed
that no one mentioned that the reactions were very likely caused by the
use of a potent Insecticide, Fungicide or drift from a Herbicide. I
believe this is the cause of the delema and not the Iris. If a person
does not pay attention to the re-entry interval or handles the iris that
has been sprayed yes they could have a reaction if they are suseptable
to any of the chemicals in the spray. You must be very cautious after
spraying and yes some are very toxic to livestock. Sid Harty
