I have noticed that my plant of Schizostylis coccinea has emerged from
Dormancy and has significant growth. While I don't know if it was normal,
this past year, it bloomed in May.
My questions deal with fertilizing. How much should this Irid be
fertilized, and when should this be done? Would Miracle Grow be fine for
this plant? I have it in a large pot, filled with sand and peat, sunken into
the ground in dappled sun/shade under a couple southern Longleaf Pines, in a
bed that includes Daylilies, Beautyberry, and Hibiscus mosheutos.
