Cult: Bugs

The temp was about 55 today and 60+ yesterday. I spent today
cleaning up the large iris bed. Raking off moss, removing dead
leaves, putting down lime etc. Noticed a rhizome of Cherry Glen was
rotting.(?) Cleaned out the rhizome, removed the fan, sprinkled comet
and noticed a white "borer looking" bug. It wasn't a slug. I
extracted the bug and it did look like a borer, 3/16" long, white,
with black eye spots(?). I placed it on a compost pile post, but upon
returning it had disappeared. It definitely was alive as it managed
to wriggle off the post.

Too early for borers? The ground is frozen at night nad doesn't warm
up until noon.

Still fighting moss. The older I get the more I like it or learn to
live with it.
