Actually it is not very simple. Type or import some checklist entries into MS 
Word. The grammer police<G> write all over the place. Turn off the grammer 
checking and you will have spelling errors.Now you will need to tell Word to 
ignore words in all caps. There  will be many names in the parentage marked 
as misspelled because they are not in all caps. You can manually tell it to 
ignore those that are correct one by one. Now you should have the real 
spelling errors.

The best way would be to take the list used to create the online name 
database with new intros added and edit it for correctness. These 40,000 
entries then are entered as a custom dictionary(s) in Word so that it won't 
considered the proper names as misspelled. Now you should be able to do an 
accurate spell-check. Simple maybe but very time consuming...
