Our local society has done something similar (bases painted black instead of
white), but we have used an assortment of PVC pipes so that we have something
to fit everything . . . even DUSKY CHALLENGER with the thick stalk it always
provides.
Unfortunately, we still don't have anything large enough for collections and
must use traditional vases, grower provided. The 1/2 Gal glass milk jars,
what we used before the PVC pipe, accommodated the collections but had
serious storage problems etc.
Still no help for this year, Vince. Sorry. Although, I do commend your
search for "unopened" bottles!
