While we are on this, I am hoping someone can help with this. I collect
bells, and some years ago, I got a brass bell at a garage sale in Lexington,
KY, and paid $1.00 for it. The bell is of a heavy brass, and bears the words
VOCEM-MEAM-AUDI on it with the hyphens present. The design is quite ornate,
and shows either a monk or friar on it, I am uncertain which. The person
having the garage sale purchased the bell in Europe, and for some reason
Austria sticks in my mind. Any ideas on this? Feel free to reply off list.
