Over the weekend, at the Region 7 Winter Potluck, Julie loaned me her
copy of the Reblooming Recorder (is that the name Rosalie?) so I could
see my ramblings in print. My writeup was mostly about what I've tried
that hasn't worked :-(
In the same issue, Rosalie had gotten together articles by other
hybridizers giving their successful approaches to germinating seeds.
The one bit of information that I didn't remember seeing before was from
Don Spoon (I think). He said they used to stratify (chill in the
refrigerator) seeds for 60 days (which I think is what folks here
recommended to me) but found they had better success with 90 days.
So I popped my seed flats back in the fridge as soon as I got home. See
if leaving them in another month helps any.
