AIS:Vote
I just wanted to post my feelings on a section of the AIS bylaws that are
going to be changed with voter approval. The section pertains to the ability
to conduct AIS business between meetings using email.
I think this is a GREAT idea! It is WORKING SMARTER, NOT HARDER.
Personally, I was quite surprised this was not already being done.
This is something I had done when I was president of the Sonoran Desert Iris
Society. There was just too many things to get done to have to wait until
the meeting. Sometimes people wouldn't check their emails for a while, but
as long as I got a quorum, then we were able to proceed.
I commend the Board for recommending this action and encourage all of you to
send in your votes of approval. This will give them the ability to make
your AIS better for all of us, and in a more timely manner.
