Shirley,
      Tall Bearded Irises are very iffy in Florida.  I have had some of Monty 
Byers rebloomers to last several years and still are there when grown in pots 
filled with a good quality potting soil.  
     If you have a spot that stays constantly wet, you could grow Louisianas. 
 I have had success with Iris virginica.  
     I probably am not too far from where you are.  I am a little north of 
Dunnellon, in southwestern Marion County.
