How about VALENTINE'S DAY?  For the humid, rainy South where
I live, this has proved to be the best of the pinks.  Unlike many
pinks here, it is a vigorous grower and bloomer, and I have never
known it to rot.

you are right, Walter, VD (bad abbreviation there) is excellent, although I
believe he had asked about a pure pink with no peach, vanilla, or other
influence.  Otherwise I would also have recommended VD highly (it has a peachy
influence for me, sometimes more obvious than others); also In Person (which
has a creamy influence in the falls).  Pagan Pink is also a superb performer
and a pure pink, but the form (though at least not "tailored") is not as
ruffled.
