HYB: rebloom pods

Last fall, for the first time, I attempted a cross between two rebloomers. I
had never done this before, because I generally do not save pollen more than
about three weeks and I rarely have two high quality parents with the right
"synergy" blooming at the same time. This time, I crossed a wild-looking
plicata space-age seedling with Double Vision. I just harvested the 4 pods (2
each way).  The two smaller pods on DV combived for 63 viable-looking seeds;
there were 78 in the other two. Should be some beautiful and wild-looking
babies, although I suspect most will be BB height and slow to increase (given
the parents).

Cupid's Arrow was just blooming again! That is such a cutie; an overlooked
iris, not a fast increaser though not particularly finicky for me. I saved
pollen from that wild seedling last fall, but if it is still viable I am
saving it for Laugh Lines, Double Dribble, Double Click, or ? I want to put
it on a more weedlike plant.

impatiently awaiting the real bloom season,
and hoping my feet stop hurting by then.
