RE: )OT: inappropriate remarks

Bill,
And wouldn't life be easy if you were the only one John had to make happy.
For every person that did not have a problem with those remarks there was
one that did and probably wrote a note to John telling him about it.
Someone has to draw a line in the sand and say this is the side of it upon
which we will remain.
It doesn't matter whether you like being searched at the airport or not, if
you fly you will abide by what the Department of Homeland Security deems
necessary. It doesn't matter what you find offensive if you post on this
list you will abide by the rules.
I realize that I am not going to solve anything and that you will probably
right me off as one of John's friends (which I am) but why do we all have to
get upset every time John enforces the rules? Personally, although I was
not offended I would not have wanted to explain it to a youngster and this
list is open to all ages. I enjoy a good joke but there are some you don't
tell in front of the children, at least there were some I didn't tell in
front of my children.

No offense, John, but just because you are the list owner doesn't mean
that your perspective "sets the record straight". You have your opinion
and the ability to silence others, but that doesn't necessarily make
yours right. I don't mean to anger you and provoke you into silencing
me, but from some beholders' eyes, you can be a bit overbearing. It's
just a difference in personalities. We all need to be willing to
tolerate differences in others.
