Hi Sally
My first gardens were roadside and they were given lots of salt for a winter
diet.
with the amount of snow we got it didn't seem to hurt them and both Iris and
daylillies bloomed in the area and increased.
:)

Our home and iris beds are below the road level. This year the town has
spread a unusually huge quantity of salt on our roads due to the constant
snow and ice. The plows have pushed a ton of it onto my lawn.
Can anyone tell me if this will harm my iris as the melting begins and the
salted water drains down through my gardens?
