Re: OT-BIO: Patricia Littlefield

Welcome, Patricia. You will find all kinds of discussions, topics and
personalities on Iris-talk list. A lot of folks read the entries but rarely
if ever post. Some are so busy they haven't time, some are just timid,
perhaps.

If you have questions, feel free to ask them. There are almost as many
different opinions about aspects of iris growing, selection, buying, or
how-to's of various sorts as there are members of the list. Many of us work
hard at trying to give the best answers we can.

Usually we sign our posted messages with a USDA zone, If you need help in
identifying what zone you are in, just ask for help. Several of us have made
a point of keeping up with changes that have recently been made in zone
boundaries. We usually include also a generalized description of the area or
state or part of state we're in, and sometimes something about the type of
conditions--such as "sandy loam" or "clay"--and anything else that may be
unique to your garden.

Again, Welcome!

Neil Mogensen USDA zone 7, western NC between Asheville and
Hendersonville
