SPEC: Blue Eyed Grass

Although we are still getting some nights in which the temperature drops
below freezing, today brought the first blooms on our native Blue Eyed Grass,
which is an Irid. I saw these blooms on only one plant, and that one plant
is the one in the most sheltered location compared to the others.
It is in a plant bed, sheltered somewhat by Indian Hawthorne bushes, and
is protected by a two nearby wall that absorb the sun's heat by day, and thus
help protect the spot from freezing temperatures.
