Definitely low-tech!  All my crosses are hand-written in a couple of 69 cent
spiral-ring notebooks, which I can carry all around the garden with me.  If
I
have a photo on the computer, I put a "P" in the margin of the notebook.

No formal training with computers.  Trial and (mostly) error.  Have always
gotten
along better with plants and animals than with mechanical and electronic
stuff.
