Linda -- I'm sure your hardy crocuses will come through just fine, but am afraid your lyrical frogs may croak. -- Griff

Francelle, do you use the colored tags or the white ones? For some reason, the slugs or some other critter eats the surface off the white ones here, but not the colored ones.I don't think it actually has anything to do with the color, but whatever process is used to make the paper white vs colored. The white ones have a shiny surface.Putting a little strip of scotch tape over the printing protects them, but that's way too much trouble.I've had the same experience with the colored stringed tags holding up all the way thru the burrito decompostition experiments, but just to be safe, put permanent vinyl blind pot labels into the baggies. I usually leave the string tag in for double labeling (just in case one winds up in another dimension, with all those stray socks)Linda Mann east TNGriff - I guess I'd better not mention the crocuses blooming and frogs singing here....just in time to get frozen solid again. Too much mulch? ;-)--------------------------------------------------------------------- To sign-off this list, send email to majordomo@hort.net with the message text UNSUBSCRIBE IRIS
