certainly has the color, and the first year it even grew quite well. The
second year many of the buds were caught by a freeze (not the iris's
fault, the cold snap came at a very odd time), and then when I dug it,
I discovered that there weren't very many new rhizomes--though there
were enough to keep it going, at least.
I *do* recommend that people try 'Oktoberfest' if they want true orange,
but also tell them to keep in mind that the iris was selected for its
color, not for its other qualities.
