Are you a member of AIS (American Iris Society)? I don't see you on my last
membership list. You mentioned a local iris society....is that the new
Richmond Chapter? If you are not into AIS, then I must suggest you join
posthaste.
Re SE natives, are you growing forms of prismatica, tridentata, verna,
cristata, virginica, and hexagona? The various Fla natives in Hexagonae
Series? If you are interested in these, suggest you would enjoy contacting
Elaine Hulbert in Va and John Wood in NC.
Are you coming to the Region 4 spring meeting and garden tours on 17-18 May
in Leesburg VA? If at all possible, I highly recommend. We will be having
the largest iris show ever held in the US (that is our goal!) and there
should be a nice representation of species, Siberians, possibly Japanese, and
many bearded irises from the miniature dwarf to the tall bearded. Warm
