Re: greetings fellow iris lovers!

Kathy...you are 2 kind. Suky and I thank you for recognizing that we two look
like teenagers. You are so observant...You are the only one who has observed
this!!! We are looking after our 2 grandsons (4 yrs and 16 months) this
week...and you can believe that we feel like anything but teenagers after 4
days. I will probaly just carry historic irises and rebloomers after this
year, with perhaps collections of Siberians....The Iris Pond outgrew my
garden years ago, and all my Siberians and Japanese have been grown by Carol
Warner and Sterlling Innerst for several years....It just takes too much time
to handle these beardless irises...I haven't gotten satisfactory progress on
the 2 books I'm working on, and my garden has suffered neglect due to
distraction of The Iris Pond business. When I first started selling Japanese
and Siberians there were only a couple of sources...now there are many.

I have enjoyed introducing people to new types of irises and "pushing"
Japanese and Siberians. I love giving people loads of "extras", imagining
the surprise of the customer the first time an order is received. It has been
fun....but time to move on to other projects. Thanks again for the kindest
words I have heard in years....wow! Teenagers! Warm wishes, Clarence
