rot and e. varieties

janice, clarence - my first yr for mary dunn plicatas, but saw them doing
very well in other gardens - pictures don't do justice. tennessee woman is
healthy here, but hasn't bloomed (>5 yrs old) - i hear variable reports about
reliability of bloom of innerst iris from different growers, but they are
always healthy.. have not tried nearpost or mullins. and about dusky
challenger - i hate admitting it has rotted here (just a tiny bit!!) and i
have heard the same or worse from others. plus it doesn't make a showy
clump. but i love it. night ruler is new for me, kind of a slower grower,
but seems to be a toughie. i will hunt for EARLY LIGHT (no wonder, CUP RACE
child!). anybody in the rot zone tried STARLIT VELVET, FROSTED BUTTERCUP,
APRHODISIAC, CHANGE OF PACE, FALL FESTIVAL, OUTRAGEOUS FORTUNE, PLANNED
TREASURE?
to go backwards some - i tuned in as there was some discussion of someone
(Darrell?) and Mulberry Souffle and future breeding plans for tough iris -
who? where?
