Doug, in a message dated 96-02-17 you wrote:

Hooked, hooked, hooked--line and sinker!!! Seriously, it's great to see
enthusiasm! I spent the day doing iris club paperwork yesterday, and your
message last night reminded me of why I do it!
One word of caution--I don't mean to be any kind of wet blanket--but read,
read, read, about what those gorgeous pictures need by way of cultural
practices and figure out if you have a chance, at least, to provide it. This
helps reduce disappointments later! Of course, some of us never do learn. I
still try to grow things every bit of info. and logic tell me I can't
grow--sure enough, they usually die--but I'm still having fun. That's the
important part.
Good Luck and great irising--I can't tell you how jealous I am that you're
planting, and I'm watching the snow fly---
