Re: evergreen iris

Dustin:   Iris foetidissima is evergreen in milder climates possibly 
in zone 8 here in zone 6 sometimes 5 it grows very slowly because it 
is cut to the ground each year.  I have been trying to track down the 
varigated form which I understand is ezquisite.  Of course that would 
become a pot plant since I wouldn't want to loose the foliage.  Bob
