A few random thoughts flew by as I have been trying to keep up with all these
great notes as well as working with the local iris society and putting bricks
on top of my little guys to keep them in the ground.
The bios are great. I thought I had written one too, but maybe it got
lost in cyberspace.
Of all those irises thought to be the uniflora, which one is it that is
pictured in the Kohlein book as uniflora?
Clarence has also inspired me on another way to spend some time--writing out
the family trees of some of my favorites, now that I have the checklists in
my hot little hands. It's actually sort of fun. I do wonder, though, how
much of this has been done aleady, or if there exists a book of these.
The charts included in _The World of Irises_, showing descendents, were good
too, even including one for Tobacco Road.
And that project got me to wondering whether AIS has it planned to publish
checklists on CD-ROM. It sure would be handy to be able to search all of
the information there.
