Hi Ellen:  Thanks for responding to my little note. Next to all the
experts on this list, I am a newcomer.  I simply love Iris, and I have a
battle
growing them here, as it is what is known as Cool Puget Sound.  I fight
rot and weather every year.  We had one terrible winter - and I can only
say that I have prayed hard for my Iris to survive.  I haven't been able
to get on my hands and knees and work the area yet - half afraid to.

Hope that spring comes fast - and soon.  My best to you.  Nicki
