HYB: 201 -- Beard Color

Beard Color has been suggested as
a possible topic of discussion. This is
a rather complex subject, but I'm willing
to tackle it IF someone is interested =

enough to volunteer for the first
assignment!

We've discussed beard patterns, but
I didn't save the thread and can't tell
you how to find it in the archives.

So if someone will locate the thread
in the archives and give us a synopsis
we can go ahead.

I can certainly define the terms to be
used, but it would help if all who want
to participate have access to the earlier
discussions so we're starting off on
an equal footing.

For example, to me the term "self" as =

applied specifically to the beard pattern
means that the beard hairs are of
uniform color -- which may match or =

contrast with the color of the falls.

But to some people, only a solid
MATCHING beard is a "self" -- so =

I've come to prefer the term "solid". =

This lets us think of examples like
a white self with a solid beard white
beard, or a solid beard of contrasting
color, or a contrasting beard in one
of the complex patterns.

More to come???
