I would agree that Dietes x Iris hybrids have to be regarded with caution.
In each case the iris species was the pollen parent, so the seed might have
originated by self-pollination.
In such a wide cross, seed production is typically low. I noted that large
numbers of seed were offered. My bet is that the seedlings will be pure
Dietes.
But it would be nice if I lost the bet. Such hybrids would be truly
revolutionary.
