Gary,
Thank you for thinking of us, we have had calls and e-mails from all over
checking on us. It sure is nice to know we have so many friends at a
time like this. We are so fortunate that it did miss us after seeing all the
destruction that will take months to clean up!!
As for my iris that are still blooming. I cheated!! I dug them up when it was
getting to cold and potted them and put them in the greenhouse. I will do
anything to keep them blooming! I just had to see Christopher Columbus,
since I have a son named Christopher and his grandmother used to call
him Christopher Columbus! He lives in Hays KS and has taken a interest
in iris complete with keeping name tags and records!! It sure feels good
when at least one of your kids will hopefully carry it on!
It is strange that after living KS, NE and Texas that we have a tornado in
KY! ( Hope we didn't bring it with us!)
