Gerry,
What led me astray was introducing the concept of eligibility depending on
introduction IN THE USA. That has been (still is?) a requirement for AIS
awards, but to my knowledge it has not been (and certainly is not now) a
requirement for show awards, which is simply "properly introduced" without
geographic restrictions.
For example, if you will look in the list of 1998 AIS Show Winners
published in the January 1999 AIS Bulletin you will find that KOORAWATHA
(John Taylor, '86/87) was named Best Speciman at the Las Cruces, NM Show.
KOORAWATHA was bred and introduced in Australia and was even the winner of
the Australasian Dykes Medal.
