Please help!
Almost every one of my irises has been invaded by aphids ( I think
that's what they are, though I've never seen gray aphids before). I have
been in there pulling leaves and squishing and spraying with soapy water, but
they keep returning. I really don't use many chemicals but this is a major
invasion. Any hints on doing away with these creepy creatures? I have
about three hundred bearded varieties in border plantings.
Also, does woolly white fly affect irises? I haven't seen any on the
irises but they are flying about near them.
Any information is appreciated. I work full time as a teacher and have a
family so I don't have a lot of extra time to devote to killing iris
predators. Still, I love them and can't stand to see them being munched.
Thank you,
Allison
