Ok, here's the beef! I thought exhibition judging judges the exhibitor's ability to grow and display irises. In other words...it does not judge the iris like it would for garden judging. If a particular iris suffers "perfection" due to weather conditions, but everything else is done right, I feel it should still get a blue ribbon if it is the nicest of the category being judged.
