Could a pastel iris such as Lullaby of Spring with yellow standards, lavender falls be called a Variegata?

  Walter: The color of the falls can also be (by definition) a blend of
  the red/purple/violet/
  brown. We must also take into consideration that the more acid the pH in
  the soil in which she is grown the deeper will be the color of the
  falls. As Edith Wolford has grown for me here in the Pacific Northwest
  she has always had darker blue-violet falls, ergo the reason for my
  including her in with the others.
