HYB: Variegated Foliage

Hi,

I've been wondering whether an iris with variegated foliage can
pass on this foliage by it's pollen or seeds?

Last summer I planted Chuck Chapman's TB, CANADIAN STREAKER,
and an unnamed I. Pseudacorus with variegated foliage. If I try
crossing these with other bearded and beardless irises without
variegated foliage, will I get any seedlings with variegated fans?

Chuck, do any of CANADIAN STREAKER's parents or children have
variegated foliage? Or is variegated foliage abnormal growth which
doesn't pass on through pod or pollen? Or does anyone else have
experiences using variegated foliaged irises in their crosses?

Thanks, if anyone can shed some light on this.
