Both Mathew and Nigel Service in the BIS Guide to Species Irises give i.
junonia species status (2n=48) and you are correct about Turkish origins.
Speciosa?? Could be anything, I suppose, but I did find a reference to
pallida speciosa, but 2n=24. Indeed it sounds interesting!
