Steve, thanks for your remarks regarding the ownership of the statements, 
comments, etc. on the internet.

Yes, some people may forever remain lurkers because they feel self-conscious or 
not knowledgeable enough to post on IRIS.  On the other hand, I know of several
who left this list in part because their essays, reminiscenses, or whatever showed up 
in print in newsletters without their permission.   Credit was given but permission to 
print was never asked for.

My own experience is similar.  Some editors of regional newsletters have asked for 
permission to quote me and others haven't.  

It's my understanding that there will be some quotes from IRIS in TALL TALK, yours 
truly included.  The permission for this usage was granted  last fall shortly after the 
fall issue of TT was published.

I am not against Flight Lines in any way.  I'd just like all readers to know where the 
material is coming from, how the reader might participate and read it first hand, and 
that permission to quote was granted.

Let's adjourn to a pub and get this settled sooner than later!
