In my case, an entire piece was quoted . . . with no name given. Anyone that
knew much about me would have recognized me as the author. However, some
things were jumbled as a result of the electronic transfer. And, if given
the opportunity, I could have cleaned up the text. Sometimes,
things are written in haste without the type of care one would use if they
knew it would appear in a publication (recorded for all time). More fussing,
don't you know! It can be embarrassing.

It's also a bit of a jolt to be wondering through web sites and suddenly be
faced with your own words when you least expect them.

In defense of the editors. . . if people wrote more articles for the
sections, etc., they wouldn't have to go 'scrounging' for material to fill
the pages.
