TalkTalk, Medians, BIS, BIS Species Group, ENCIS, Siberians, etc., for what
it's worth), I would support, as a member, an AIS list that deals with AIS
matters. Not that I want to join; it's not my interest. All things iris are
not confined to AIS. And much that is important to to AIS organizationally,
is not necessarily "iris-talk". I note that just today there is an editor's
group, to deal with the things that the editors of iris publications and
websites have in common. Perfect! I'm one, however, who likes to work with
irises as best I can, spend a couple of hundred dollars a year with our
estimable suppliers, be as knowledgeable as my time permits, and support a
forum that doesn't deal with minutiae of organizational structure, or the
inevitable politics, but has a focus of iris culture, cultivars, and shared
knowledge.John maintains a great list. It is his, and he shares it with all
of us. Why in the devil would would we want to tamper with success? I hope
that suggestions to add an AIS list doesn't impair this one, where I have
been coached, chided, and when appropriate, consulted. Linda M., AKA RQ, do
you know how much it means to follow your trials, the same trials that many
have? And Walta'? And BigAlligator? And sooo many others? I have come to
feel an affinity with my fellow posters (and lurkers) over the last few
years, a welcomed novice in a big tank. . I like this forum where it is.
This forum has meant more to me than all the AIS bulletins put together. Not
a slap at the bulletins, just a kudo for this list.
