CULT: Weather

Well, it was at least 108 at one point today, just up the freeway from here.
Thought all the easterners might have been jealous at our 85-degree January
Super Bowl, but 108 is a little too much. All those iris haven't even had
time to wake up yet; I hope this sun doesn't put them all to sleep. This
usually means a prolonged, staggered bloom season, from the first of March
through late June or early July (not counting rebloomers). We'll have to wait
and see. This will definitely accelerate the stalk formation just showing
signs of beginning on Louisa's Song. Yeah, I know I just keep mentioning that
one; just wait till you see it too.
