Linda,
LIGHT BEAM (L. Blyth '85) is registered at 34", E-M, RE and is a lemon "Joyce
Terry" pattern with some plicata visible in the haft area. It comes from
Broadway X Beverly Sills, so is a grandchild of VANITY.
The performance here has not yet shown high vigor, but that may simply be a
matter of getting acclimated or of the (lack of) fertility of the planting
location. In another year I might be able to evaluate it more fully. It
does, however, meet the set of characteristics you ask about. Not only is it
known to rebloom, but comes from a wide cross between a plicata and a pink,
both of high quality and known to be good parents. If it hasn't taken off and
started growing aggressively by spring I'll move it to better, or at least,
different ground.
Some other Beverly Sills or Vanity offspring may also meet your needs. Many
pinks and yellows have rebloom tendencies or are involved in rebloomer
pedigrees. I'm wondering if Keppel's GAME PLAN, for instance, might be useful
to you. Have you tried growing it?
Some crosses you've mentioned in earlier posts have several that should be
able to yield good yellows sooner or later.
