A friend (that was easy) sent me this info on the pedigree of MULBERRY
ROSE's momma, FRIEDA MOHR.
According to Sharon McAllister's 'Comprehensive Checklist of Aril and
Arilbred
Iris' published via HIPS:
FRIEDA MOHR DIS (William Mohr, R. 1925) Sdlg # N/A. TB, M. Bosniamac X
I.
mesopotamica. Medium red-violet self. Mohr-Mitchell, 1926. Notes: no
aril
content, but sometimes described as an oncobred and may have qualified
as
such on the basis of appearance. Ref: AIS '39, p. 233.
That's slightly different from the pedigree given in the checklist
(i.e., no GAVIOTA).
But if the great granny looked oncobred, maybe that's why the seedling
looks a bit onco-ish?
