Re: AIS: Membership trends


We usually have two or three people join at our show/sale, and a few
more at our summer sale.  They pay dues, then we never see them again.
I think they get all excited about the blooms, then in the reality of
their lives, have scheduling conflicts, too far to drive, somebody gets
sick, etc etc.

<One  factoid I have never understood is the percentage of people who
join but
                   do  not renew.


                   Many of these people either get the membership
because of side  benefits,
                   usually rhizomes.  OR . . . because they've felt
pressured into  joining.
