Lol, I'll second that Betty, but I need the time to prepare beds for seedlings. I haven't had that problem before.
Unfortunately I am starting to see some damping off... so I'm going to have to make some changes.
One change I have already made is abandoning the burritos. I have all of my seeds loose in film canister type sample cups right now. Initially I did that so I could run a cold dry cycle. When I finished drying there was one cross that wasn't as dry as the others so when I put them back in the bathroom and they warmed up I got a germinant. So I've been keeping the seeds in a state of humid but exposed to the air in these sample cups for about three weeks now. Most (if not all) of those crosses which had germinated one seed and then quit have restarted. A few 'stubborn' crosses have started to germinate, and the process of checking takes less time.
But you learn something new everyday.

Griff, I suspect you may be right.
I live less than six miles from where I gardened in Alvaton, but many things
are different. In each location I've had two acres but there were many
trees on the lot in Alvaton with NO trees here. Some irises that did well there
don't do well here.
Lots more wind here so the pots dry out faster. At any rate, I can only
manage about 50% germination here. And that's if I save pots for 2 years. I
get almost as many the second year.
Everything is varied, but it could be the individual season that is making
the difference.
Either way . . . I'm looking forward to spring. If given the option, I'd
forfeit the next three months! Provided my seedlings would still sprout.
