Linda, I understand the reasons behind your methods. I also understand the
heart break when something goes wrong.
For me it happens when a cross I really want to see doesn't sprout even ONE
seedling! Most seasons I have at least one cross that doesn't sprout
anything. Made a cross both ways with Returning Chameleon and Light Rebuff. Not a
seedling in either pot. (They've had two springs now and nothing) . Hope
nothing does it this year! I NEED them all! <vbg>
With these extra special crosses, try dividing up the seed? Put half, or at
least some of them, in a pot outside? This way you have a chance either
way. Early germination if they survive, but later plants in case something goes
wrong.
