I'm looking for some advice (free, of course) about what types of iris
will/won't do well in the Tulsa area. My daughter and son-in-law have just
bought a home of their own in Broken Arrow, a Tulsa suburb, and I want to give
them some iris for their yard in the spring. I don't know what thrives or
even grows moderately well there, so I'm looking for some expert help. I know
we have, or did have, some listers who lived in that general area, and I hope
you can make some suggestions. What types should I not bother digging from my
Iowa garden to plant in eastern OK (where they have not had the fires, and
where there has been more rain than in the western sections)? TBs, medians,
Siberians, spuria? And should they get some shade down there? When should
they be planted in OK? I'm eager to hear what wise advice some of you have.
And thanks in advance.
